Applications open: grants for services responding to child sexual abuse and children who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours
The Attorney-General has announced that applications are now open for the ‘Grants for Services Responding to Child Sexual Abuse and Children who have Displayed Harmful Sexual Behaviours’ grant opportunity. This will provide funding of up to $200,000 per year per organisation over three years to expand the capacity and capability of existing services supporting victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and children who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours.
Applications for the grant round opened on 17 June 2025 and will close at 9 pm AEST 28 July 2025. For more information about the grant opportunity and to apply, visit GrantConnect.
The grants will respond to community needs, with a focus on early intervention, response, healing and recovery to stop the intergenerational cycle of violence. This investment is a demonstration of the Australian Government’s commitment to protecting children and young people from sexual abuse.
The grant opportunity is part of the $80 million commitment agreed at National Cabinet in September 2024 to enhance and expand child-centric, trauma-informed supports for children and young people who have experienced or witnessed family, domestic and sexual violence. It will also contribute to existing reforms under the National Strategy.
