Last updated

As a parent or carer, you will interact with many organisations that play an important role in your child's care, play, learning, and development, as well as their social connections with other children and adults. This guide will support you to understand how these organisations work and the steps they take to promote children's safety and wellbeing.

The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations recognise the important role of families and communities in promoting child safety and wellbeing. Principle 3 emphasises that families and communities should be informed and involved in organisations’ efforts to keep children safe.
