Parents’ night toolkit

Components
  • Guide

Schools play an important role in engaging with parents, carers and kin about information that supports the safety and wellbeing of their children. Hosting a parents’ and carers’ night is a great way to engage your school community on a particular topic in a supportive and familiar environment.

We’ve created a toolkit that can be used during a parents’ and carers’ night to raise awareness of the ‘One Talk at a Time’ campaign and the resources that are available to help adults to learn about the role they can play in preventing child sexual abuse. This toolkit can be used by school staff or parent volunteers who host relevant events for your school.

The presentation contains information about the campaign and its resources. It has been designed in a way that allows schools to use it off-the-shelf, without the need to edit except to add any desired personalisation. The accompanying guidance includes additional information to help assist the presenter.
